Accounts Payable Specialist (Immediate Temp Need)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with our client and we are seeking an immediate temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to step in and support the accounting team during a leave of absence. The client is open to candidates at multiple levels and is looking for someone who can "plug and play." Real estate and/or Yardi experience are highly preferred, but they will consider candidates with strong, high volume AP experience.

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Specialist will handle AP and some AR for a portfolio of residential properties. This individual will work closely with on-site and corporate staff to ensure accurate, timely financial processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Process 100250 invoices based on due dates and cash flow.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment issues.
  • Review and approve submeter billing.
  • Reconcile tenant security deposits monthly.

Accounts Receivable

  • Maintain accurate financial records for assigned properties.
  • Partner with on-site teams to collect lease compliance documents.
  • Communicate with tenants to resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare tenant renewal documentation.
  • Ensure timely rent collection and coordinate legal actions when necessary.
  • Complete move-out final accounting and issue disposition letters.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent accounting experience.
  • High volume Accounts Payable experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and data uploads.
  • Yardi experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage high-volume tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
