Job Title

Primary Purpose and Mission Statement: Raymer Oil-IGA and its employees pledge to put customers first by:

Essential Duties:

• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging, and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality, and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
• Properly clean work area, couplers, and decorating bags.
• Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product according to variety.
• Communicate customer requests to management
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keeps supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
• Properly rotates icings (including how to read dates of icings) and scrapes down buckets.
• Use cake manual as reference material.
• Write on cakes.
• Properly mix colors according to color chart.
• Masters the use of the airbrush.
• Use cake production sheet.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section of the bakery.

Other Duties:

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front end duties to insure "no noticeable wait" standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push/pull a loaded Grocery cart throughout any assigned shift unassisted.
• Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder.
• Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion.
• Ability to reach above shoulders and horizontally to stock and retrieve inventory.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work safely with box cutters and grocery equipment.
