Century Group is excited to have partnered with a wonderful non-profit organization in San Francisco, to help them find an innovative and disciplined Billing Specialist to join their mission-driven team! Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor charges to ensure correct payment of claims and capitation deductions.
• Provide feedback to providers and front-end staff regarding data errors through tasking and emails.
• Research and resolve claim, payment, and capitation issues to ensure accurate billing and reimbursements.
• Respond to correspondence from payers and follow up on requests for additional information.
• Stay current on industry updates by participating in educational activities and attending staff meetings.

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in medical billing practices with a strong understanding of industry standards.
• Knowledge of health care insurance claim practices, compliance, and regulations.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in claims and payments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with providers, staff, and payers.
• Ability to analyze claim data and identify patterns in payment discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance providers is a plus.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
