Description
The Department of Family Medicine (FM) at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor - UVA Family Medicine, Multiple locations. We will fill four vacancies.
The successful candidate(s) will work as a Family Medicine physician at one of our Family Medicine practices. The incumbent will be responsible for direct patient care and occasional precepting 8 outpatient sessions/week, position may include teaching and supervision of residents and medical students.
The Department of Family Medicine values diversity and inclusion and this is reflected in our department's activities and our diverse patient population. We maintain specific expertise related to the care of refugees and immigrants, global health, gender medicine, sports medicine, and obesity medicine. We have long-standing clinical and educational programs in collaborative care integrating behavioral health and pharmacy services into patient care. Our practices are place great emphasis on team-based care and evidence informed decision making.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible by either the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates who have robust and broad scope patient care experience
