The Ideal Candidate Will:
Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a "gearhead",
Be a self-starter, able to complete tasks using their knowledge and skill,
Be experienced with several types of turning centers, including Mazak and Doosan
The CNC Lathe Machinist Will:
Program, set-up and operate Mazak and Doosan turning centers,
Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine parts dimensions and cut configurations
Determine type and size of cutting tool according to metal stock hardness and cut shape,
Locate position of metal stock on machine fixture, machining start point on tool set point, and cutter change points by 3-dimensional coordinates,
Troubleshoot machining problems to produce a quality part
High school diploma, vocational training preferred
3-5 years CNC Lathe experience
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers, bore gauges, and micrometers to ensure part is within specifications.
