Job Summary

As a Director of Product Management, you will be a critical leader within the organization, responsible for collaborating with executive leadership to align product direction with overall company objectives and defining and executing the product strategy across multiple. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and champion a cohesive product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall company vision. Evangelize this vision across the organization and gain buy-in from executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Oversee product portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth, synergy, and strategic alignment. Develop cross-product strategies to maximize the impact and value of our offerings.
  • Market and Customer Focus: Deeply understand market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs. Define the broader product ecosystem and anticipate competitor moves to maintain a competitive edge. Proactively organize teams to gather customer insights across products and create holistic user experiences.
  • Product Planning and Prioritization: Implement and optimize standardized processes for product planning, prioritization, and execution. Establish clear prioritization principles based on data, feedback, and strategic alignment. Align priorities and trade-offs with executive sponsors.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Product Managers. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Push teams to design with the entire suite of products in mind.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with Senior Leadership, Engineering, Operations, Client Success, Sales, and other key stakeholders. Effectively negotiate and resolve conflicts constructively. Work closely with engineering leadership to set the overall product development strategy, allocate resources, and manage timelines.
  • Product Discovery and Experimentation: Champion a culture of rapid experimentation and de-risking new ideas quickly. Generate and propose innovative features and products based on data from multiple feedback sources. Proactively adapt strategy based on evolving market and product performance.
  • Technical Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of the technologies underlying our products and the broader technology landscape. Consider alternative technologies and drive necessary changes. Plan for emerging technologies and their potential impact.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly seek to improve product management processes and practices across the organization.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience with at least 3+ years in a Senior Product Leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing multiple product lines
  • Experience building and managing high-performing product teams
  • Strong understanding of technology and software development processes
  • Demonstrated success in strategic product planning and execution
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or fintech experience preferred
