Job Description

The Dual-Rate Table Games Dealer is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while accurately dealing games such as Blackjack, Poker, Craps, and Roulette in compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and internal controls. In this role, the individual ensures proper handling of chips, cards, dice, and transactions (including buy-ins, payoffs, fills, credits, and color-ups), while maintaining game integrity, recognizing winning and losing bets, and identifying suspicious activity. The dealer must create a friendly and engaging environment, communicate effectively, and uphold professionalism at all times. Expectations also include adhering to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, maintaining a respectful attitude toward guests and coworkers, acting as a role model, and demonstrating punctuality and flexibility in a fast-paced casino environment.

In addition to dealing duties, the dual-rate position requires stepping into a supervisory role when needed, overseeing table operations to ensure compliance with regulations and smooth gameplay. Supervisory responsibilities include supporting and coaching dealers, resolving guest disputes, monitoring performance, ensuring proper pacing and game protection, managing administrative tasks like reports and logs, and assisting with dealer rotations, tournaments, and promotions. The role also involves tracking bankrolls, table drop, and win/loss outcomes, safeguarding gaming equipment, and maintaining strong guest relationships through personalized service. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or GED, six months of dealing experience (or certification and audition), and must obtain a gaming license and Title 31 certification while passing a drug screening. The job requires strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, the capacity to stand for long periods in a noisy, smoky environment, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
