Lead ETL Developer

As a SSIS ETL Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of applications developed for our clients.

You will be part of the team to create the architecture and implement enterprise-scale integration solutions integrate, transform and load master and reference data from multiple source systems using ETL frameworks and platforms using Microsoft's SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) platform.

Mandatory Skills:

• MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016
• Experience integrating SSIS to SOAP and/or REST APIs-based interfaces

Roles and responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL programs primarily using SSIS packages and frameworks
• Extract, transform & load data from both relational-, flat file, and API-based operational data sources
• Convert legacy integration processes to utilize SSIS framework.
• Implement detection and capture strategies for extracting only changed data.
• Implement performance improvement & tuning of SSIS packages & mappings
• Perform source data analysis and data profiling to detect and resolve integration issues.
• Be able to produce code that is well-formatted, documented and highly efficient.
• Test and implement functional requirements to meet expected quality and results.
• Create necessary documentation as per SDLC standards
• Upload the source code to version control tools
• Perform unit testing of programs and support QA on End-to-End testing
• Work with deployment team in the code migration across the SDLC environments
• Triage the Production issues and work on the code fixes
• May participate in a 24x7 rotational on-call responsibility

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience performing data batch-oriented integration of both operational and analytical platform environments
• 3+ years SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 experience
• 3+ years SSIS 2008/2012/2014/2016 ETL development experience
• 1+ years experience integrating SSIS to SOAP and/or REST APIs-based interfaces.
• Must have first-hand experience with at least 2-3 large to medium scale ETL implementation projects supporting either an MDM and/or data warehouse platforms
• Experience developing in all phases of the full SDLC of a project is required.
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
• Ability to apply design concepts - layered architectures, components, interfaces, messaging and patterns.
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working banking / financial services industry
• Experience working with MDM platforms like TIBCO MDM, Informatica, Orchestra, etc.
