Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Mold Maker, where you will play a vital role in designing, fabricating, and maintaining high-precision molds used in plastics injection molding processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in machining, tooling, and fabrication to produce quality molds that meet strict specifications. As a key contributor, you will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure molds are crafted efficiently, accurately, and ready for production runs. Key Responsibilities

• Build new precision injection molds and fixtures for commercial, aerospace, and medical applications.
• Maintain, repair, and modify existing tooling and fixtures efficiently.
• Assemble and disassemble molds for production, repair, and maintenance.
• Work with tight tolerances of +/‐0.0005” , and occasionally +/‐0.0001” .
• Operate tool room equipment including Wire & Sinker EDMs, 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, Bridgeport mills, lathes, grinders , and precision measuring tools.
• Perform bench operations such as polishing, stoning, matching, and assembly .
• Set up and adjust all mold‐making machinery and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and cleaning on molds, fixtures, and equipment.
• Fabricate new tools and fixtures from raw materials.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Determine and optimize machining sequences for mold‐making operations.
• Collaborate with the Tool Room Manager to ensure on‐time delivery of high‐quality molds.
• Assist in the manufacturing and maintenance of injection molds.
• Support the Tool Room Manager in preparing tooling quotes.
• Investigate molding issues and recommend design improvements.
• Work with Quality Control and Production teams to troubleshoot and maintain product quality.
• Coordinate work assignments and equipment usage with other mold makers.
• Communicate material requirements with the Tool Room Manager.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Lift and move items over 25 lbs multiple times per day.
• Adhere to ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 , GMP , JG Plastics Safety Practices , and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mold making, tool making, or precision machining.
• Strong understanding of injection mold construction and repair.
• Proficiency with Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, 3-axis CNC, 5-axis CNC, vertical mills, horizontal lathes, surface grinders, and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in aerospace or medical molding environments is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 25+ lbs repeatedly.
