Design a career and build your future... Because it matters! Office Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Office Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction . The Office Engineer is responsible for having an excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes. The Office Enginee r must have the ability to read, analyze, and identify scopes of work on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents. In addition, this role will assist with project specific paperwork, reporting, preconstruction, and closeout efforts. This role will be based in Dallas, TX office. All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results. From concept to completion, projects are guided through feasibility studies, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring technical precision and real-world functionality. Responsibilities: Manage project revenue, costs, cash flow, and cost projections. Contract, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and product vendors. Prepare, submit, and review project submittals. Coordinate internal and external project closeout activities. Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives. Assist with operations planning, including work plans, buyout, and test and inspection plans. Prepare purchase orders and subcontracts. Follow direction from Project Managers and incorporate feedback as needed. Assist with month-end reporting. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Maintain regular, reliable attendance. Work collaboratively and effectively with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Five years of related construction industry experience Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and employees Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Primavera and HeavyJob/HeavyBid is preferred Regular, predictable attendance is required. Ability to get along and work effectively with others. Compensation Package: Pay Range: $71,000 - $89,000 (DOE) Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program comprising medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 paid holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for stock ownership, and wellness reimbursement.
