Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! Duties

• Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards
• Cook and assemble dishes efficiently on the line during service hours, maintaining consistency and quality
• Operate various kitchen equipment safely, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food prep tools
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
• Maintain proper food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
• Support high-volume food production for catering events or large dining services while adhering to portion control and recipe adherence

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or culinary roles is preferred but willing to train the right person
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential
• Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
• Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of food handling regulations and high-volume production processes
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Must have excellent people and organizational skills and must be willing to be part of a team.
