Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook plays a key role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly by completing essential food preparation tasks before service. This position supports chefs and line cooks by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean workspace, and helping ensure food quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.

• Prepare sauces, dressings, stocks, and other basic recipes according to kitchen standards.

• Measure and organize ingredients for daily service.

• Label, date, and store food items properly in accordance with food safety guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep station.

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

• Ensure all food prep follows health and safety regulations.

• Support line cooks and chefs with additional tasks during busy service periods.

• Dispose of kitchen waste and keep prep areas stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and organization.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
