Proofreader (Part-Time Remote) Location: Remote - Candidates must reside in the
Eastern Time Zone (EST) Schedule: 10-15 hours per week (some weeks may be less)
Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented
Proofreader responsible for reviewing and editing a variety of marketing and communication materials. This role ensures all content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with the company's style guidelines before publication.
The proofreader will review materials such as
letters, emails, advertisements, and social media content , ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting while confirming adherence to brand and regulatory standards.
This individual will collaborate closely with
writers, designers, and project coordinators to ensure projects are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Content Proofreading & Quality Control - Proofread a variety of materials including:
- Letters
- Emails
- Advertisements
- Social media posts
- Identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting .
- Ensure content adheres to the company's style usage and brand guidelines .
- Verify that all required disclosures are accurate and properly included .
- Confirm that the correct project number is listed within the disclosure area .
Collaboration & Workflow - Work closely with writers, designers, and project coordinators to ensure accuracy and clarity of materials.
- Manage proofreading tasks efficiently to meet tight project deadlines .
- Review materials within the company's Workfront proofreading tool as part of the project workflow.
Required Qualifications - Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Proven experience proofreading a variety of written content
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines , sometimes under tight timelines
- Experience using Workfront and its proofreading tool (required)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience proofreading within the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment
- Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Style Guide
- Experience ensuring content aligns with corporate brand style guides
