Job Description
Our organization is looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join our full-time faculty. This role involves engaging in both inpatient and outpatient care settings. Key responsibilities will include rotations in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Progressive Care Unit, conducting pulmonary and critical care consultations, performing procedures, and interpreting pulmonary function tests (PFTs). While experience with pigtail catheters, indwelling pleural catheters, EBUS, pleural biopsies, percutaneous tracheostomies, and intubations is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Additionally, the role entails providing care to a diverse patient population through outpatient pulmonary clinics. The facility is conveniently located and accessible via public transport and car from various regions including New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. A valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number are also required. Furthermore, a faculty appointment with our affiliated medical school will be offered, reflecting the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications.
