Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
North Kansas City Schools is seeking 2 nurses (RN or LPN) for 1:1 student support roles in a special education setting. These are onsite positions requiring flexibility across PreK–12 environments when needed.
Position Details:
Location: North Kansas City, MO (no travel candidates)
Start: ASAP
End: May 22 (CSY) + ESY: June 1–25 (Mon–Thurs)
Openings: 2
Schedule:
Now–End of May: 35–40 hours/week | 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM
ESY (June): 25 hours/week | 8:45 AM – 2:45 PM
Caseloads:
1:1 – 4th Grade Student (Rising Hill Elementary)
Female student in SPED classroom
G-tube, seizure disorder, wheelchair (no trach)
Ride bus with student (meet at home ~8:00 AM)
May assist other students in classroom
1:1 – Pre-K Student (Rising Hill Elementary)
Student with trach care needs in SPED classroom
Ride bus with student from home
May assist other students in classroom
Additional Responsibilities:
When assigned student is absent, serve as a clinic nurse within the district (K–12)
Potential to support field trips or other school sites
Must be comfortable with technology-based charting and multitasking
Requirements:
Active RN or LPN license
Experience with g-tube, trach care, and seizure management preferred
Comfortable working with PreK–12 students
Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments
