You’ll turn ambiguous growth opportunities into clear product bets and measurable business outcomes through high-impact, data-informed initiatives that help developers succeed at every stage of their journey.We’re hiring Product Managers aligned to two core Growth problem spaces: Activation and Expansion.Activation focuses on enabling builders with intent to ship an application to find success on MongoDB as quickly and effectively as possible by reducing time to value, removing friction from the registration-to-activation funnel, and setting the standard for how developers onboard to AtlasExpansion focuses on helping existing Atlas customers grow usage across new environments, new applications, and larger workloads by translating growth potential into targeted product investments and setting the standard for how we scale Atlas upmarket, with and without a human in the loopYour specific alignment to Activation or Expansion will be discussed during the interview process, based on your interests and background. In both roles, you’ll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Sales, and Developer Relations, and you’ll be accountable for moving the metrics that matter most to MongoDB’s growth.In this role, you will:Own the product strategy and roadmap for your Growth squad, defining target segments, end-to-end journeys, and experimentation plans that drive scalable, sustainable growthIdentify and optimize key conversion moments across the Atlas lifecycle, including registration, activation, free-to-paid conversion, and multi-application adoptionLead the delivery of friction-reducing product experiences that accelerate developer success (e.g., streamlined onboarding, intelligent upgrade paths, developer tool integrations, improved organization/project management)Design, build, and iterate on digital growth mechanisms including in-app experiences, upgrade surfaces, contextual guidance, lifecycle messaging, and journey orchestrationDefine and instrument end-to-end measurement frameworks (events, funnels, cohorts) and provide ongoing insights into conversion, engagement, and retention performancePartner with Marketing on lifecycle campaigns and scaled programs such as Office Hours, webinars, and nurture journeysCollaborate with Sales and Customer Success to align digital-led growth with enterprise motions and enable seamless customer handoffsDrive AI-native product experiences, including integrations with AI coding assistants, agentic workflow improvements, and LLM-powered discovery and guidancePartner with Analytics and Data Science on targeting strategies, propensity models, experimentation design, and impact measurementChampion high-quality, scalable solutions with reliability, security, permissions, compliance, and organizational best practices in mindWhat We Look For5+ years in product management for B2B SaaS (ideally PLG), with a track record of driving activation, conversion, monetization, retention, or expansionBackground in engineering (computer science, electrical, software)Know your way around data: cohorts, revenue metrics (MRR, ARR, NRR), funnels, A/B testing, and experimentation; you can separate correlation from causationComfortable with platform and infrastructure products and developer experiences - you understand how developers learn, build, and adopt tools in their workflowsWrite clean, concise docs; align teams; and make decisions with incomplete dataData-driven and business-minded - you understand why products resonate with customers and know how to measure long-term impactStrong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify insights, uncover opportunities, and translate findings into actionable strategiesFamiliarity with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and agentic workflowsNice to HaveExperience with developer platforms, data infrastructure, or cloud servicesExperience with lifecycle marketing, journey orchestration, CRM systems (Iterable, Marketo), and in-app messaging (Intercom)Understanding of MongoDB, NoSQL databases, or relational-to-NoSQL migration patternsAbout MongoDBMongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
