Role Overview We’re hiring a Social Media Video Coordinator to create high-impact video content for social platforms, with an emphasis on IG/FB/Youtube reels/shorts/TikTok style content that elevates our attorneys, our credibility, and our community presence. This role shoots, edits, and refines video (including attorney-led content), field storytelling (events, site visits, community work), and firm culture. You’ll be an essential part of creating high-trust, high-performance content that doesn’t feel like an ad. This position is hybrid, reporting to our San Diego Headquarters. Travel to regional offices/markets is required as needed. Salary $30.00- $35.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. What Success Looks Like (90–180 Days) Implement recurring video series formats that consistently perform A repeatable filming workflow with attorneys that is fast, comfortable, and scalable Higher video completion rates, saves, and shares Better quality and consistency of video output (audio, lighting, hooks, pacing, captions) A content bank with evergreen assets ready to deploy across markets and practice areas Key Responsibilities Video Production Shoot attorney videos, interviews, and short form series content Capture b‑roll: office, community events, site visits, attorney self‑captured video, etc. Manage lighting/audio setups (minimal but professional) Maintain production quality while working fast Editing & Post‑Production Edit short‑form social video: hooks, pacing, captions, cutdowns, thumbnails Produce multiple versions (15s/30s/60s; vertical‑first) Add branded elements, captions, and compliance‑friendly visuals Build a reusable editing style that matches firm brand identity and trust tone Content Strategy Support Work with Social Media Strategist and Marketing Leadership to transform talking points into scripts and shot lists Recommend trends and formats that can be adapted to a legal/trustworthy approach Help attorneys feel natural on camera (coaching, prompting, confidence) Workflow & Asset Management Organize raw footage, b‑roll, project files, and final content Maintain consistent file naming, storage, and content tracking Coordinate release scheduling with the Social Media & Graphics Specialist Qualifications 3+ years producing short‑form video for social platforms (portfolio required) Strong editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar High comfort filming on‑site and interacting with attorneys/clients/staff Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, and retention editing Ability to maintain professionalism and sensitivity in high‑stakes legal contexts Bonus (Preferred) Experience with legal marketing, advocacy organizations, or public interest storytelling Motion graphics, sound design, light color grading Ability to travel regularly across regional markets Hiring Signals We’re Looking For Your videos feel like professional social, not corporate marketing You understand “trust video” for legal: warmth, authority, clarity, restraint You can produce consistently without burning out or sacrificing quality Competencies Performance & Contributions: Consistently delivers quality results and meets or exceeds job requirements.
