Join the DDCareConnect Hub team at Stanford University School of Medicine! The Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Community Resource Navigator to provide personalized support and navigation assistance to patients with developmental delays or autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and their families. In this role, you will help connect families to a wide range of community-based services, resources, and programs tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, you will participate in the development and facilitation of trainings, workshops, and support groups to empower families and strengthen their access to critical services. The DDCareConnect Hub aims to improve access to care by helping families of children with developmental delays or ASD connect more easily with Regional Center services and training pediatricians to offer direct support throughout the process. If you are seeking a high-impact role within a close-knit team, we want to hear from you! Duties include: Participate in trainings for clinicians and parent workshops and support groups. Collaborate in the development of user-friendly questionnaires and assessment tools to efficiently identify families’ needs and connect them to the appropriate community services and resources. Conduct follow-up contacts with families to confirm successful connection to and utilization of community services and resources. Provide accurate and timely documentation of participant interactions. Partner with local organizations and service providers to build relationships and connect patient/family to service providers across settings (e.g., early childhood providers, educators, and specialty clinics). Contribute to the compilation of quarterly project reports and grant summaries for funders and stakeholders. Facilitate continued maintenance and expansion of resource database, including creating new contacts via outreach calls and in-person visits to learn about new resources for patient/family. Collect and track data on outreach efforts. Contribute to development of resource website. Monitor the patient/family’s response to the individualized navigation plan and update as needed or per case dispositions in weekly team huddles. Assist with development, communication and design of project findings to internal and external audiences, which may include web updates, social media, and/or white papers, for use in recruitment, educational, or awareness of programs, with guidance from supervisor. May orient and train new staff or students. * - Other duties may also be assigned Connect patient/family to Regional Centers and educational, therapeutic (such as ABA, speech therapy), and community services. Assist patient/family in finding accurate, current information on autism and developmental delays. Responsibilities Core Duties: Plan and perform research tasks requiring initiative and judgment by applying basic knowledge and understanding of scientific theory when precedents do not provide specific guidance. General instruction provided by the supervisor as needed. May interpret study results in collaboration with supervisor or PI. Participate in the development and administration of survey instruments and rating scales requiring judgment in applying non-routine procedures. Analyze and summarize results for review with supervisor. Audit the accuracy and validity of data Review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents, and ensure compliance with research protocols. Identify, select, extract and summarize data and structured information. Present summary of findings to supervisor. Conduct literature searches, and write literature summaries and manuscripts, requiring preliminary judgments after the supervisor outlines conceptual approach. Build and organize data as requested by principal investigator or supervisor; use common statistical programs requiring the application of job control language in generating and organizing data. Adapt new, nonstandard methods outlined by supervisor in designing and evaluating phases of research projects, (i.e., educational materials, questionnaires, strategies for recruitment, data quality control procedures and processes). May follow up with Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure renewals are approved and completed, seeking guidance where necessary. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : General understanding of scientific theory and methods, typically gained through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field. General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs. Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with human study participants.
