Position This role provides on‑site dental hygiene services in partner facilities, working closely with the DDS, clinical coordinator, and facility staff to meet patient and facility needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review patient lists prior to visits and ensure all supplies and equipment are available. Arrive on time, check in with the dental contact, and review the patient list. Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in the designated workspace. Coordinate patient and chart transfer between rooms; if issues arise, contact the clinical support manager. Perform required care: X‑rays, cleaning teeth and dentures, applying sealants, and assessing oral health; report findings to the dentist. Explain procedures to patients, and follow up with facility staff on recommendations. Enter chart notes into Salesforce during treatment. Ensure OSHA safety and cleanliness regulations are followed; handle disposables correctly before leaving. Check out with the dental contact, review chart notes, and leave printed copies for patient charts. Collaborate with the clinical support manager on scheduling and follow‑up. Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance. Inventory supplies and order as needed. Follow OSHA guidelines for instrument sterilization. Use a personal vehicle to transport equipment and supplies to scheduled facility visits. Be available via cell phone throughout the workday. Expense office needs and unforeseen supply purchases as reimbursable business expenses. Location Travel within the home market is required, with drives ranging from 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. All drive time over 30 minutes each way is compensated, and mileage is reimbursed for all miles driven. Requirements Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing with at least 5 years of experience. Valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the last five years. Own reliable transportation. Ability to push or pull up to 200 lbs. (e.g., patients in wheelchair). Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. in and out of a vehicle. High school diploma or equivalent. Other Qualifications Customer service skills: work effectively with nursing home staff to meet dental needs. Computer skills: log chart notes during visits. Organizational skills: maintain supplies, dentures, and the daily schedule. Multi‑tasking: prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.
