The Untitled Space - Art Gallery Intern The Untitled Space is a contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of the Tribeca Arts District, in a historic building on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2015 by Indira Cesarine, the gallery is dedicated to presenting boundary‑pushing, innovative exhibitions. The gallery features both emerging and established artists who explore conceptual frameworks and cutting‑edge ideologies through a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, and performance art. With a commitment to supporting women in art, and amplifying marginalized voices, The Untitled Space celebrates diversity and inclusion in the art world. Requirements Must be available for a minimum of 3 – 6 months (full‑time or part‑time) for minimum 2–5 days per week to qualify for the internship. Office Hours are 12pm – 6pm; partial days are not allowed except under special circumstances. Candidates must live in the New York City area during the course of the internship and be available for an interview (in person or online). Remote internships are not offered at this time. Work experience or educational focus in one of the following: Art History, Studio Art, Design, Women’s Studies, Journalism, Public Relations and Marketing, or related field of study. Previous art gallery, museum, auction house, or similar experience is preferred, although not required. Strong interest in contemporary art and artists. Thorough knowledge of contemporary art in general. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have a positive attitude and strong social skills. Passion for art and culture. Demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining perspective. Have working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word & Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress. Fluent in English; other languages such as French or Italian are a plus. Strong knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest. Must own a smartphone and a laptop. Daily Responsibilities Assist with gallery operations. Assist with press releases and PR coverage for exhibitions. Assist with marketing materials, books, and catalogs for artists. Assist with research for upcoming exhibitions. Assist with social media marketing and communications. Assist with art handling and shipping. Assist with gallery openings, events, and special projects.
