Laundry AttendantThe Country Inn & Suites is seeking an energetic and detail oriented full time Laundry Attendant who is looking to be a part of our fun and dynamic work environment.Compensation is $20.00/hour, with benefits and potential for growth into Supervisor role. Laundry Attendants are an essential part of our hotel team. In addition to cleaning and servicing guestrooms, public spaces, and laundry facilities, Laundry Attendants help build and maintain the look and image of the hotel.Laundry Attendants will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and preparing linens and towels daily in accordance with Country Inn & Suites standards. Laundry Attendants will ensure all guest and hotel laundry items are clean, properly handled, and ready for use while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient laundry area.Specifically, Laundry Attendants will be entrusted with the following job responsibilities:Prepares bed and bath linensDisplays and replaces amenities and promotional materialsRemove trash, soiled linen, etc. and take to appropriate area for pick upMaintains supplies necessary to clean laundry efficientlyUtilize the proper cleaning methods to prevent injuryKeeps supply carts stockedLaundry, pressing and folding, towels, linen, etc.Report deficiencies in hotel facilities and on guest floors to the housekeeping/engineering management teamEnsure cleanliness of guest room hallways, elevators, public areas and service corridors in accordance with hotel standardsInventory and maintain the cleanliness of the linen closets and laundry roomProject an image of professionalism, friendliness and willingness to provide personalized service to our guestsAdhere to the hotel's lost and found policies and proceduresOccasionally cleans and straightens guestrooms and common areas as neededRequirements:Must be eligible to work in the US and possess all necessary documents listed on I-9 and verified through eVerify.Ideal candidate will have experience working in a hotel environment that provides a superior level of guest service and professionalismAbility to work quickly while maintaining a close attention to detailMust possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at onceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guestsMust possess a strong team spiritMaintain high energy for long periods of timePhysical Demands:Perform repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds on an ongoing basisMust be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basisAbility to stand for long periods of timeOccasional lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to model Choice's Cultural Values: Welcome and Respect Everyone, Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious and Show Integrity are key to our success in inspiring Loyalty, Growth, and the Hospitality Spirit.Choice Hotels International is an equal opportunity employer and affirmative action employer.
