Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Location: New York
Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $115,000 to $120,000 a year

Job Summary

We are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join a telehealth team serving clients across New York. This position centers on direct therapy, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and helping clients work through anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other behavioral health concerns. The role is practical, structured, and focused on delivering quality care in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote psychotherapy sessions through a secure telehealth platform
• Complete intake assessments and establish clinical recommendations
• Build individualized treatment plans based on client goals and needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes
• Support clients with evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Identify risk factors and respond appropriately to urgent clinical situations
• Collaborate with internal or external care teams when needed

Requirements

• Active New York LMHC license in good standing
• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related discipline
• Experience treating a broad range of mental health concerns preferred
• Strong clinical writing and case management skills
• Comfort working with technology and virtual care platforms
• Ability to maintain professionalism, consistency, and strong boundaries in a remote role
