Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking an Operations Administrator PRN to support our Healthcare & Medical Services department in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care. In this critical support role, you will work closely with clinical leaders, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of hospital services on a per‑diem (PRN) basis. You will coordinate daily operational activities, monitor patient flow, assist with staffing logistics, and support implementation of hospital policies and best practices that promote safety, quality, and service excellence. The Operations Administrator PRN analyzes operational issues in real time, identifies barriers to effective care delivery, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to resolve problems promptly. Responsibilities include tracking bed availability and patient throughput, assisting with scheduling and resource allocation, updating and maintaining operational logs and metrics, and escalating urgent operational concerns to appropriate leaders. You will help ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, assist in preparing for surveys or audits, and support initiatives that improve clinical workflows, documentation accuracy, and patient satisfaction. Working within a culture that emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning, the Operations Administrator PRN participates in performance improvement efforts, gathers and analyzes operational data, and provides feedback that helps shape process enhancements across the hospital. You will use hospital information systems and electronic medical record tools to pull reports, verify data integrity, and support decision‑making. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will serve as a key liaison between nursing units, ancillary departments, physicians, and administrative leadership, helping to coordinate responses to high‑acuity situations and fluctuating census needs. This role is ideal for an operations‑minded healthcare professional who is comfortable in a fast‑paced clinical environment and who is committed to supporting exceptional patient outcomes. PRN status offers schedule flexibility while still providing exposure to complex hospital operations and the opportunity to build experience in healthcare administration. Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is dedicated to fostering a supportive and compassionate environment where employees can thrive, and this position provides meaningful opportunities for professional growth, collaboration with expert clinicians, and participation in projects that enhance the overall efficiency and quality of care provided to our community.
