Job Summary:
A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods from a distribution point to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner. This role requires strong time management, navigation skills, and a focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses according to assigned routes
• Verify delivery details (addresses, contents, and instructions) before departure
• Load and unload goods safely, sometimes handling heavy items
• Follow traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and receipts
• Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding delays or issues
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate delivery vehicles (cars, vans, or trucks)
• Good navigation skills (GPS and map reading)
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Basic math and record-keeping abilities
• Physical stamina for lifting and carrying packages
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry packages (often 25–50 lbs or more)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
