Job Description The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will provide psychotherapy, counselling, and support to individuals and groups dealing with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges at DOS/DOD facilities in Iraq.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders and emotional issues, using clinical interviews, observations, and standardized assessment tools.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to clients' needs, including individual, family, and group therapy.
• Respond to and manage acute crises, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
• Educate clients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in community service and outreach to promote awareness of mental health issues and available services.
• Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: - Current, full, active, and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 3+ years' recent experience - including at least six months out of the past year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required: - Master's degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Physical Requirements: - Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications: - US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
Additional Information Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
