Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction to visually impaired students through telehealth platforms within a school setting. The position requires strong expertise in remote teaching methodologies to ensure effective learning experiences for students with visual impairments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting virtual assessments and lessons tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to adapt curriculum materials for accessibility.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Providing families and caregivers with guidance to support students’ learning at home.
• Maintaining detailed records of student performance and telehealth session outcomes.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Certification or licensure in teaching visually impaired students.
• Proven experience delivering instruction via telehealth or remote platforms.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools for visual impairments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to design individualized education plans (IEPs) suited to visually impaired learners.
