Connecting Odoo to the physical operation
- RFID: receiving, stock counts, asset audits and issue/return recorded as Odoo transactions; see RFID–Odoo integration and RFID solutions.

- IoT: sensor alarms that create maintenance orders.
- BI and AI: governed dashboards and private AI assistants over Odoo data.
The rule we follow: devices send business events (received, moved, issued, alarm) into Odoo, never raw device data. That keeps Odoo fast and its records trustworthy.
Octopus Odoo

Can you upgrade an old, heavily customised Odoo? Yes, after an assessment of the customisations. Some are rebuilt as modules, others replaced by standard features, with a tested cutover.
Can Odoo work with RFID readers and handhelds? Yes. RFID events are filtered and posted to Odoo inventory, asset or maintenance records.
Can Odoo show assets on a map? Yes, through integration with Esri ArcGIS or open-source GIS.
Is Octopus Odoo a separate ERP? No. It is an enhancement and integration layer on top of Odoo, and not an official Odoo product.
Do you support Odoo after go-live? Yes, with SLA-based support and troubleshooting.
